Your Support Will Make a Difference in Phase 1

Thank you for your interest and for supporting the Southern Museum of Music.

The Southern Museum of Music is beginning a $5.5 million Capital Campaign to build and operate the worlds only museum and educational facility dedicated to southern music heritage and its influence world-wide. The Southern Museum of Music has received significant financial support from the founding executive board as we start the campaign, but we need private philanthropy support in reaching our goal and fully realizing the mission of the Museum.

The Southern Museum of Music is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of the Southern Music’s impact world-wide. It shall carry out this mission both through its operation of a museum that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets southern music artifacts and through its educational programs.

Like most major cultural organizations, the Southern Museum of Music will rely on community and private philanthropy support to sustain its historical archives, educational initiatives, displays, community programs, activities, operations and help to preserve our musical heritage, while ensuring that your generosity will be recognized for years to come.

For a more permanent legacy at the Southern Museum of Music, we are pleased to offer a variety of philanthropy opportunities welcoming contributions and grants from individual fans, families, foundations, organizations, and corporations, enabling donors to pay tribute to their relationship with the Museum or to honor and recognize someone special in their lives.

Contributors to the Capital Fundraising Campaign will be able to particapate on the Advisory Circle (a voting posistion), be elected to the Executive Board and partitapate within development committees.
