In a nationally-televised Thursday night game, the Buccaneerss only highlight came in the fourth quarter when Mike Evans made a spectacular one-handed sideline catch. However, he was hit and left the game with a concussion. He did finish on a solid note with 11 receptions along with 150 yards and two scores. Simply put, the Tampa defense could not stop the then ranked NFL's No. 1 offense and Matt Ryan of the Falcons at all.

The Buccaneerss put up some nice offensive numbers but the final score came on a drive after Jameis Winston had left the game injured on a failed two-point conversion. And then it was four home losses in a row.
