The Buccaneers were on course to tie the game against the SuperBowl-bound Bills, but terrible clock management on the final drive wasted the last five minutes of requlation play, and the Buccaneers were shutdown at the Bills eight-yard line when time expired.
Testaverde was unable to gain momentum and move the ball resulting in Chris Chandler replacing him in the second quarter to the delight of the 57,323 BuccaneersFans in attendance, but he as well was unable to move the ball satisfactorily and only two Bill turnovers slowed their no-huddle offense on the day.
