The second scheduled road game of the season, with the first re-scheduled due to hurricane Irma, and this game clouded by political posturing to be known as "NATIONAL ANTHEM GATE". Fans not only witnessed players Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson kneeling in political support with a few other players locking arms in solidarity (yet still standing) prior the Buccanners receieving a crushing defeat against the Vikings. It's estamated millions of fans tuned out the NFL game-day in silent protest of the political infusion into the NFL.

The Buccaneers were down from the start as they entered halftime 28-3 and several deffensive players cramping up due to length of play as several were carted off the field.
